Husband and wife duo Sean Murphy and Susan Timmins have almost 30 years of restaurant experience under their belt from their original eatery, the Beach Bistro. Upon the success of this more high-end endeavor, the couple wanted to try something new that would appeal to those wanting something more casual and budget-friendly. eat here is pegged as “Bistro-lite,” where you can still expect high-quality ingredients made into delicious dishes, but you won’t find all the frills. Instead, eat here has a sense of humor about itself and makes for a relaxed dining experience.

This new concept did the job well, as eat here has received numerous accolades. Florida Trend’s Golden Spoon Awards named it among the state’s “Best New Restaurants,” as did several other publications in the community. When you visit, it’s not hard to see how this eatery has earned these honors. The menu carries everything from soups and salads to fresh fish and “gluten limited” options. Of course, the star of the show is the classic meatloaf.
