Spring Events Happening on Anna Maria

Spring is in the air. The chill is gone. The sun is out longer and it’s even brighter than ever before. Yes, it is time to celebrate the spring season, and few places are better for it than the sprawling sandy white beaches of Anna Maria Island.

Thankfully, the island and its many inhabitants are more than up for the challenge of ringing in the spring season right. ArtWalks

The Artwalks is a recurring series for enthusiasts of the rich artistic sensibilities of Anna Maria Island, located on Gulf Drive and Holmes Blvd. On the second Friday of every month, locals join together to sell rich artisan crafts, from steampunk metal designs, beach-themed watercolors, hand-crafted local pottery, delicate stone jewelry, and more.

Some of the local vendors present at the ArtWalks include the Anna Maria Island Art League, the Artists’ Guild of AMI, and the dazzling SteamDesigns team.

It’s a refreshing way to adventure through Holmes Beach. Anyone looking for a long-term stay on Anna Maria can experience the cultural diversity firsthand, and witness the value of art and creation on this gulf side island.

Beach N’ Food Truck Festival

Food vendors from all around come together for a single massive event- the Beach N’ Food Truck Festival, located at 2650 Gulf Drive in Bradenton Beach. People are walking, talking, and gorging on local tacos, burritos, curry bowls, French fries soaked in chili, crab cake sandwiches, avocado burgers, and many (many!) more.

The event is coming around again, right in time for the spring season. The Beach N’ Food Truck Festival is accompanied by a car show, featuring over 100 exotic and antique vehicles along the lawns by Coquina Beach.

The Beach N’ Food Truck Festival is April 14th from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Main parking is at the Coquina Beach public lot. The Island Monkey Bus is an excellent way to get from the Anna Maria Island condos to the beach festival, and back, with no parking or traffic trouble.

Entrance is completely free for all ages. Come by for the food. Stay for the views.
